Voice, speech and being understood

Speaking a new language is physical work: breath, articulation, rhythm, intonation. I trained as a voice pedagogue alongside my language teaching, and I use that combination directly in lessons.

The goal is not to erase your accent — accents are biography, not failure. The goal is to be understood effortlessly and to sound like yourself: clear, confident, at ease. That is trainable, and the difference it makes is immediate: people respond to how you sound before they weigh what you say.

For many professionals this is the missing piece. You can know the grammar and still be talked over in meetings; voice work changes that.
